We were just talking to someone at Wachovia who'd purchased a dozen of those free-standing a/c units for his rental properties(he got them at Costco, and they were the ones that were in the $500- range). He had to return them all because they leaked and caused a lot of water damage to the floors right away. He SAID he had them all vented to the windows and in a pan and all that (when I grilled him about it). Just wanted to mention it.
